Hypnotherapist VS Hypnotist

Updated: Sep 30

🌿 What’s the Difference Between a Hypnotherapist vs Hypnotist? 🌿BIO

A lot of people use these words interchangeably, but there is a difference:

• Hypnotherapists are trained to work in a clinical setting, often alongside or under the supervision of medical or mental health professionals. Their focus is on therapeutic applications that may involve medical or psychological conditions.

• Hypnotists (also called consulting or professional hypnotists) work within the scope of self-improvement. We focus on helping people make positive changes in habits, behaviors, mindset, confidence, performance, and personal growth.

✨ About Me ✨

My formal diploma is in Hypnotherapy, and I went on to become a Certified Master Hypnotist. I chose not to go into the clinical/therapy side of the field because my passion is in working directly with the power of the mind — helping people release limitations, build new patterns, and create change in everyday life.

I don’t “do magic tricks” and I don’t diagnose or treat medical conditions. What I do is guide people through proven hypnotic processes that make change easier, faster, and more natural — whether that’s breaking habits, reducing stress, improving sleep, enhancing sports performance, or simply stepping into greater confidence.
