The Power of a Blessings Jar: A Simple Tool for Manifestation & Gratitude

A glass jar decorated with a pink ribbon and pearls used to write down your bessings.

In a world that constantly encourages us to focus on what’s missing, it’s easy to forget just how much we actually receive. We move from desire to desire, goal to goal, often overlooking the quiet miracles, unexpected gifts, and manifestations that show up along the way.

One of the most powerful tools I’ve found to shift this mindset is something incredibly simple: a Blessings Jar (also known as a Manifestation Jar).

I start a new one every year, and it has become a meaningful ritual that keeps me grounded in gratitude, awareness, and abundance.

What is a Blessings (or Manifestation) Jar?

A Blessings Jar is a physical reminder of what you have received—not just what you’re hoping for.

Each time something meaningful comes into your life, whether it’s:

  • A manifestation you intentionally desired

  • An unexpected gift or opportunity

  • Financial abundance

  • Emotional growth or healing

  • A moment of joy, clarity, or support

—you write it down and place it into the jar.

By doing this, you create a tangible record of your manifestations and blessings throughout the year.

Why This Practice Is So Powerful

So often, we become focused on:

  • What didn’t work out

  • What hasn’t arrived yet

  • What we believe is missing

This focus can blind us to everything we have already manifested.

The Blessings Jar gently shifts that perspective. It trains your mind to notice abundance as it happens, not just when you’re reflecting backward—or worse, not at all.

It’s proof. Physical proof that you are always co-creating, receiving, and supported.

How to Create Your Own Blessings Jar

You don’t need anything fancy—just intention.

What you’ll need:

  • A jar, box, or container of your choice

  • Small pieces of paper

  • A pen

How to use it:

  1. Each time you receive something—whether expected or unexpected—write it down.

  2. Include the date and a brief description of what you received.

  3. Fold the paper and place it into the jar.

That’s it. No pressure. No rules. Just awareness.

My End-of-Year Ritual

At the end of the year, I take this practice a step further. I open my jar and take out each note, month by month. Then, in a notebook, I write down everything I received during that month—manifestations, gifts, opportunities, lessons, and moments of abundance.

This reflection is always eye-opening. Without fail, I’m reminded of how much unfolded that I would have otherwise forgotten. Things that once felt small reveal themselves as powerful stepping stones. Things I worried about had already been answered in ways I couldn’t have planned.

A Gentle Reminder

You are manifesting all the time—whether you realize it or not. The Blessings Jar isn’t about forcing positivity or ignoring challenges. It’s about seeing clearly. It’s about honoring what has arrived instead of constantly chasing what hasn’t.

When you begin to truly see how much you receive, something shifts. Gratitude deepens. Trust grows. And abundance flows more easily—because you’re finally acknowledging it.

If you’ve ever felt stuck, discouraged, or disconnected from your manifestations, I invite you to try this simple practice. You may be surprised by just how full your jar becomes.
